The Provincial Court of Madrid has sentenced for the first time a member of a Latino gang to reviewable permanent prison for the murder of a minor on September 25, 2016 in Puente de Vallecas.

In the sentence,

Adrián GS, alias 'Plátano'

and a member of the Trinidadians, is sentenced to said custodial sentence for a crime of murder, another in the degree of attempt and illegal possession of weapons.

This is the first sentence to this penalty in the field of Latin gangs in the Community of Madrid.

Eight other defendants are sentenced to between 15 years and six months in prison and four years and three months in prison for the crimes of attempted murder and illegal possession of weapons.

Two other defendants are sentenced only for belonging to a criminal organization.

The crime of the minor under 17 years of age took place in a square in

Puente de Vallecas

near the corner between Avenida de la Albufera and Calle del Puerto de Monasterio.

According to the investigations, the defendants would have planned the attack and premeditatedly approached the square frequented by the Los Ñetas gang armed with bladed weapons and other blunt objects.

The circumstance occurs that in the middle of the trial the president of the court ordered the entry into prison of

seven of the nine judges

due to the seriousness of the facts.

On the first day of the oral hearing, the ringleader's admission to prison was ordered.

In addition, and as in previous judgments of the same nature, the dissolution of the youth gang 'Los Trinitarios' is decreed.

According to the story presented by the Prosecutor's Office during the oral hearing and included in its indictment, in September 2016, four defendants, all of them active members of the aforementioned youth gang, were in the vicinity of Plaza María Paz Unciti along with the other five people processed.

Despite the fact that the group was divided

between active members of the band and sympathizers

, the Prosecutor's Office stated that all of them acted in mutual agreement.

Therefore, loaded with machetes, knives, razors and glass bottles, they rushed towards the rival gang, Los Ñeta

"with absolute contempt for their lives and physical integrity."

According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, they did so in an "organized, fast and surprising" way to avoid the reaction capacity of their victims.

One of the young men from the rival gang, a minor, died as a result of the stab wounds and another was seriously injured.
