“Today, the highest state awards will be presented to military personnel who have shown exceptional valor and courage during a special military operation and have been awarded the title of Hero of Russia,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

He also thanked the Russian servicemen for their service to the Fatherland.

“I also want to address those who are on the front lines: for me, for all our fellow citizens, each of you is a hero,” Putin added.

Earlier it was reported that more than 200 military and civilians were invited to the event, who showed special courage and heroism.

In October, the Russian president conferred the title of Hero of Russia on a commander of Russian marines with the call sign Struna.
