In Sweden, there is an 18-year-old age limit for buying or handling fireworks.

Despite that, according to the police, minors are often injured in fireworks accidents.

The police urge parents and other adults to inform minors about the laws and regulations that apply to fireworks - and not to buy them out.

Police officers hit by rockets

In the last two years, there have been fireworks accidents in both Karlskrona and Karlshamn where police officers have been hit and injured.

- Every accident that occurs could have been avoided.
