According to information in the Turkish media, the man had a heart attack from the blow.
His condition has been described as very critical but his life is said to have been saved with the help of a defibrillator.
The condition is still serious and the man is being cared for in the intensive care unit.
- It is not unusual for tumults, fights and scuffles in Turkey's parliament, but the fact that the man's condition is so critical and that his life is even threatened has caused the incident to cause a great stir, says SVT's Turkey correspondent Tomas Thorén.
No representative from the AKP has yet commented on the incident.
