“The verdict of the Moscow City Court is left unchanged, the appeal is not satisfied,” RIA Novosti quotes a statement from the judicial board.
On September 5, the Moscow City Court sentenced Ivan Safronov to 22 years in a strict regime colony in the case of treason.
The man was also sentenced to a fine of 500 thousand rubles and two years of restriction of freedom after serving his sentence.
Later, Safronov's lawyer Dmitry Katchev stated that the defense filed an appeal against Safronov's sentence.
