Seven businesses including two cinemas, located in Talmont-Saint-Hilaire and Jard-sur-Mer (Vendée), were victims of a burglary on the night of Wednesday to last Thursday.

Asked by the weekly Les Sables Vendée Journal, the operator of the Talmont cinema explains that the front door was forced open using a crowbar.

The criminals "broken the candy box to finally leave with a paltry sum and candies".

A complaint was filed by the cinema association as well as the town hall of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, owner of the place.

“They ransacked everything”

Same thing on the side of Jard-sur-Mer.

According to the director of the "Les Ormeaux" cinema, the front door was also forced open with a crowbar.

“They trashed everything.

They managed to open the crate, but there was nothing in it.

All the confectionery was ransacked on the ground, they took some, with drinks, ”he explains.

The criminals also allegedly stole music speakers, 3D glasses and broke screens.

The damage would be estimated at 800 euros.

The director, operator of the cinema, and the town hall, owner of the establishment, filed a complaint.
