He noted that of this number, only 77 thousand are in combat units.
According to him, the rest are on the second and third lines and, in fact, perform the functions of a territorial defense or undergo additional training in the NVO zone.
Putin added that another 150 thousand people, half of all those mobilized, are still at the training grounds or training centers of the Ministry of Defense outside the grouping of troops operating in the NVO zone.
“If I can say, this is a combat reserve,” the Russian leader added.
The Russian President noted that talks about additional mobilization in Russia in the current conditions do not make sense.
