Jonas Gardell already expressed his concern before the election about a government in which the Sweden Democrats would be given influence, and in a debate article in Expressen even urged people not to vote for M, KD or L because it risked letting the party into the heat.

Now, three months after the election - when Gardell's fears have come true - he says in SVT's 30 minutes that he is afraid that SD's influence over government policy risks leading Sweden in the direction of becoming a more right-wing authoritarian country.

- I am afraid that we will end up in a situation where you get involved in who leads our universities, our theatres, what repertoires we have in the theaters and what kind of dramas and comedies you can do on SVT, says Gardell.

- I don't think this is good.

I think this is dangerous.

Jonas Gardell also says that Culture Minister Parisa Liljestrand (M) must be given a chance to show what she stands for.
