A 55-year-old man, municipal councilor of Dordives (Loiret), is suspected of rape and sexual assault on a 20-year-old woman, who is thought to be mentally handicapped.
He was arrested at the end of October 2022, indicted and remanded in custody.
A complaint had been filed against him,

An investigation has been opened to try to identify other potential victims or to determine whether the 50-year-old may be suspected of other facts.
Shelved by the municipality
The municipal councilor, also a photographer, would have worked with several young amateur models, for the realization of sensual shots.
His computer equipment was therefore seized.
The man also took care of the communication and the animation of the commune.
His delegations were withdrawn by the mayor, as a preventive measure.
The Orleans prosecutor's office confirmed the opening of an investigation but added: "The qualifications adopted at this stage do not mention the aggravating circumstance of a situation of disability for the victim".
A judicial investigation was opened for "rape, sexual assault and kidnapping to facilitate the commission of a crime or an offense".
