The National Council for Electronic Media of Latvia decided to revoke the broadcasting license of Dozhd

This was stated by the head of the National Council for Electronic Media Ivars Abolins.

“Due to a threat to national security and public order ... a decision has been made to revoke the broadcasting license of the Dozhd TV channel,” the Twitter post said.

Dozhd will stop broadcasting on December 8th. 

Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Latvia, Artis Pabriks, announced the need to revoke the permission to stay in the country from the employees of the Dozhd TV channel.
