SVT Nyheter Gävleborg examines children in criminal environments and has for several weeks spoken with a large number of people with insight into Gästrikland's criminal world, people close to the detained teenagers and with the authorities who work against the criminal gangs' recruitment of children.

Now we can tell you that the 17-year-old murder suspect moved from Gävle with his family to Skåne just a few months ago - the move was a step in breaking his bad association.

Several reports of concern

The 17-year-old has previously received a penalty order for minor drug offenses and was charged with theft, but was acquitted.

There are several reports of concern about him.

Among other things, he was suspected of having threatened to kill a classmate, but then no investigation was initiated.

However, when in 2021 he was suspected of having harassed three girls and exhibited socially disruptive behavior, an investigation was launched, according to documents that SVT has seen.

In connection with the investigation, concerns also emerged from the police's side.

The family wanted to break the son's bad association

The family moved to Skåne during the summer of 2022. During the autumn holidays, the 17-year-old wanted to go up and visit his friends in Gävle - which he also did.

Then the murder took place in Sätra, on Saturday 5 November.

He and two other teenagers, 15 and 16 years old, are now in custody on probable cause on suspicion of murder.

SVT Gävleborg has sought guardians for all three boys.
