It was at the end of October that a 16-year-old boy was found with a gunshot wound on a bicycle path in Sandviken, between the residential areas of Vallhov and Barrsätra.

His life could not be saved.

Shortly after the murder, a police source told SVT that "the act came like a bolt from the blue" and that the 16-year-old was not previously known to the police.

Two days after the murder, Karin Wessén, acting section chief of the investigation section in the Gävleborg police area, came out with new information.

- Within the framework of the preliminary investigation, new information has emerged that makes the police suspect that the crime took place in the criminal environment.

Started selling drugs months before the murder

Now SVT Nyheter Gävleborg can tell that the murder victim was checked by the police on one occasion.

He is said to have been in the same car as people known to the police from before.

According to information, the 16-year-old had connections to criminal actors and sold narcotics.

He started selling drugs in the summer of this year, just months before he was shot dead.

The 16-year-old is unpunished.
