It is hoped that young people will continue to absorb nutrition from the treasure house of Chinese excellent traditional culture and become guardians and inheritors of Chinese excellent traditional culture.

  Xie Bing, deputy director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, said in a video speech that the State Administration of Cultural Heritage attaches great importance to cultural heritage exchanges and cooperation between the Mainland and Macao.   "The murals of Tang tombs carry rich historical and cultural value and artistic information. We hope that everyone can interpret the Tang code of the cultural genes of the Chinese nation through the exhibition." Ma Baoshou, deputy director of the Shaanxi Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics, said.

  Wang Haitao, president of the National Conditions Education (Macao) Association, expressed the hope that the successful holding of this exhibition will allow more young people in Macao to understand the protection of cultural heritage in the Mainland, deeply feel the charm of Chinese excellent traditional culture, and enhance cultural confidence and national identity.

  After the opening ceremony, the guests watched the exhibition under the guidance of the student volunteer guides of the University of Macau.

In order to enrich the viewing experience, Lu Zhiyong, Director of the Protection and Restoration Department of the Shaanxi History Museum, held a special lecture on the theme of "Value, Protection and Utilization of Tang Tomb Murals in Shaanxi" in the lecture hall of the Wu Yee Sun Library of the University of Macau.

During the exhibition, activities such as re-engraving Tang Dynasty costumes, utensil pattern design, and mural painting will also be carried out.

  The exhibition is co-sponsored by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the Shaanxi Provincial Administration of Cultural Relics, the University of Macau, and the National Conditions Education (Macao) Association.

The 2022 "Tang Dynasty Mural Culture Special Exhibition Entering Hong Kong and Macao Campus Activities" Hong Kong Exhibition will be launched online in May on the website of the Banco Exhibition Hall of the City University of Hong Kong.

The Macao exhibition will be exhibited in a physical form at the Wu Yee Sun Library of the University of Macau, and the exhibition period will be from December 5, 2022 to January 2, 2023.
