In order to double the "children's budget", the Liberal Democratic Party's declining birthrate countermeasures research committee has compiled a proposal calling for the formulation of a new declining birthrate countermeasure plan that summarizes annual targets and financial measures.

It has been pointed out that the number of children born this year may fall below 800,000 for the first time since the start of national statistics, and the Liberal Democratic Party's Declining Birthrate Countermeasures Investigation Committee urgently needs to respond to the declining birthrate, which is progressing at a faster pace than expected. On the 6th, we summarized the proposals to the government.

In this, in order to continue the economic support equivalent to 100,000 yen for pregnancy and childbirth, which is included in the comprehensive economic measures, from the next fiscal year onwards, we are requesting that necessary financial measures be taken.

It also seeks to raise the rate of childcare leave benefits, add child allowances for households with many children, and expand child-rearing support measures so that nursery schools can be used regardless of whether parents are working or not.

After that, it is said that a new declining birthrate countermeasure plan that summarizes annual targets and financial measures for "doubling the children's budget" should be formulated and a specific direction should be indicated.

The committee plans to submit these recommendations to the government in the near future.
