Restoration of the Crimean bridge

On the morning of October 8, a truck was blown up on the automobile part of the Crimean bridge.

This caused a partial collapse of two automobile spans of the bridge, and seven fuel tanks on the railway part of the crossing also caught fire.

As the FSB established, the attack was organized by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and personally by its head Kirill Budanov.

According to the chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, the purpose of this terrorist attack was the destruction of a large civilian infrastructure facility.

“Here, as you just reported, there is no doubt that this is a terrorist attack aimed at destroying the critical civilian infrastructure of the Russian Federation.

And the authors, performers, customers are the special services of Ukraine,” Vladimir Putin noted during a meeting with the head of the Investigative Committee on October 9.

It should be noted that the movement of trains on the railway part of the Crimean bridge was fully restored on the evening of October 8.

At the same time, reverse traffic for cars was launched along the automobile part, first along one and then along two lanes.

On October 20, builders began dismantling the damaged right span structures of the road part of the Crimean bridge.

Two weeks later, preparatory work began, necessary for the sliding of new spans.

At the same time, reinforcement was knitted and formwork was carried out for concreting new under-truss bollards.

On November 19, the builders restored all four damaged spans of the road part of the Crimean bridge.

On the morning of December 5, the press service of FKU Uprdor Taman announced the launch of traffic along the repaired right lane of the bridge.

“On December 5, at 10:50 a.m., as part of the restoration work, vehicles were transferred to the right side of the road part of the Crimean bridge,” RIA Novosti quotes the text of the message.
