At 20:49 we received a call about a person being assaulted.
The person was then dragged into a car on the outskirts of Trollhättan, says Magnus Schildt, officer on duty at the police in the West region.
The callers gave the police the registration number of the car and after ten minutes a police patrol spotted it in the Kronogården area.
- In connection with that, three people jumped out of the car - the plaintiff plus two other men.
Two people were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, says Magnus Schildt.
However, it turned out that another person or people were in the car that was stopped because it left in connection with the intervention.
- After further reconnaissance, the car was found in the Lextorp area, but it was then empty, says Schildt.
The car has been impounded and must undergo a technical examination.
The man who was abducted should not have been so injured that he needed to seek treatment, according to the police.
