Assange founded the "WikiLeaks" website in 2006. In 2010, "WikiLeaks" exposed a large number of US diplomatic cables and confidential documents of the US military during the Afghanistan War and the Iraq War, exposing the war crimes of the US military.

Assange was immediately involved in a lawsuit, and the United States charged him with 17 counts of espionage and 1 count of improper use of a computer.

Assange was arrested and sentenced to prison in the United Kingdom in 2019. Subsequently, the United States requested the extradition of Assange on the grounds that "WikiLeaks" published confidential documents related to the United States and endangered the lives of others.

The British side approved the extradition in June this year, and Assange subsequently appealed the extradition to the United States.

He is currently facing extradition.

Snowden is a former US defense contractor employee.

In 2013, he caused an uproar when he revealed classified material about the US government's surveillance program to the outside world.

The United States subsequently issued a warrant for him on charges of espionage, theft and unauthorized disclosure of national defense and intelligence information.

Since then, Snowden has been granted asylum in Russia and has lived in Russia for many years.

He obtained Russian citizenship by presidential decree at the end of September this year.
