A lady died on Monday morning in the fire of a residence for seniors in the 13th arrondissement of Marseille, reports BFM Marseille.
The fire started around 7 a.m. in a room on the first floor.
Despite the rapid intervention of 70 firefighters, the tragedy could not be avoided.
Two other residents were slightly injured by smoke inhalation.
The 48 residents of this residence have been evacuated and will be relocated until the building is secured and cleaned.
