The passengers of EasyJet flight EF6276, departing from Krakow (Poland) to Bristol (United Kingdom), were treated to a great scare.

Their plane had to make an emergency landing in Prague (Czech Republic) this Sunday evening, reports The Guardian, in an article relayed by Capital.

A device that could be a bomb was reported on board the Airbus A320 in mid-flight.

Explosives experts intervene

“All actions to ensure passenger safety are being carried out,” the airport initially said on Twitter, announcing that the plane landed in Prague at 10:50 p.m. as a safety measure.

Explosives experts and Czech police were responsible for evacuating the passengers calmly and securing the scene, before examining the possible bomb.

Finally, after several hours of investigation, the alert was lifted.

“No dangerous object was found on the plane after the pyrotechnic inspection,” reassured the airport management.

Asked by the English press, the company EasyJet did not wish to comment.
