Sylvain Bernu, municipal councilor in Lamballe-Armor (Côtes-d'Armor), will surely remember his heroic act for a long time.
Last Friday, he rescued a young woman in a restaurant in Moncontour.

Panicked, his companion called for help in the dining room.
It was then that Sylvain Bernu intervened.
He saved the young woman by applying the Heimlich maneuver, which consists of placing himself behind the victim and causing the expulsion of the foreign body by strong pressure in the pit of the stomach.
“It is a gesture which is not very complicated but which cannot be improvised”, estimates the chosen one.
The chosen one learned this method during training carried out as part of his activity in the paramedical field.
Shortly after his intervention, he recalled the “importance” of learning first aid gestures.
All of the customers present in the establishment that evening were marked by this incident.
