Two killed in Russian missile strike across Ukraine

Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine Tymoshenko posted on social media on the 5th that Russia had launched missile attacks across Ukraine.



The attack killed two people and injured three others, including a one-year-old child, in the southern province of Zaporizhia, and damaged two infrastructure facilities in the southern province of Odesa.



On the 5th, the state-owned power company Ukruenergo said, "Energy-related infrastructure facilities have been attacked, causing emergency power outages."



Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky released a short video in which he said, "Most of the Russian missiles were shot down," claiming that the air defense system worked in response to the Russian attack, and that the infrastructure that had been hit was being restored. He emphasized the idea of ​​​​minimizing the impact on the lives of citizens, saying that work is already underway.



In Ukraine, an air defense warning was issued for the entire country for about 3 hours from 1:00 pm on the 5th, 8:00 pm Japan time.
