Yemeni calls to secure the coasts to prevent arms smuggling to the Houthis

Yemeni political and military figures have called for ending the Stockholm Agreement and returning to complete the liberation of Yemeni ports in the western region, in response to the continued attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia on oil ports and installations.

The events indicated that the Houthi militia continues to use the ports of Hodeidah to smuggle weapons and marches that are used to bomb oil facilities, and threaten international navigation in the Red Sea, as well as using them against Yemeni civilians in several areas.

Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak, during his meeting with the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, referred to the flow of weapons and drones from abroad to the terrorist Houthi militia to destabilize the security and stability of the region, according to the official Saba agency.

For his part, the Italian official affirmed his country's support for the efforts being made to resume comprehensive negotiations to achieve peace and end the conflict.

This coincides with the thwarting of the US Fifth Fleet, an attempt to smuggle 50 tons of ammunition, fuel and detonators on board a fishing vessel on its way to the Houthi militia, in the second largest arms confiscation operation carried out by the fleet in a matter of months.

It also comes in light of the militias' attempt to thwart international and regional efforts aimed at returning to calm and the peace path in Yemen, and their combat escalation on the various fronts.

On the ground, the Yemeni army forces and the resistance were able to thwart Houthi infiltration attempts towards their positions on the western fronts of Taiz governorate, according to field sources, confirming that a special unit of the army forces was able to carry out a raid on Houthi militia sites in the Al-Dabab sector, west of the city, after monitoring them. Houthi infiltration attempts into the region, and work to develop sites there.

It indicated that the raid was successful and achieved its objectives, as the Houthi militia sites were hacked, a number of their members were killed and wounded, the developments were destroyed and the sites were completely cleansed.

On the western coast, a person was killed and a girl was injured in a projectile explosion from the Houthis' remnants in the At Tuhayat district, south of Hodeidah.

This coincides with the continuation of the Saudi mine clearance project teams in Yemen, "Masam", to clear the Mushej area in the Al-Khawkhah district, south of Al-Hodeidah, of Houthi mine remnants, following the explosion of an anti-vehicle mine with a bulldozer near a water well in the area.

The "Masam" project announced that it had removed 1,307 mines and explosive devices planted by militias in Yemeni territory during the past week.

In Sana'a, tribal sources confirmed that the Houthi militia carried out new mobilization operations in the Khawlan district, and was able to establish a training camp in Bani Dhabyan, adjacent to the Ma'rib governorate, noting the presence of foreign experts supervising the Houthi training operations in the region.

The militias had funerals for four prominent field commanders among their militias, who were killed on the Marib fronts.



In the Bani Matar district, west of Sana'a, protesters from the tribesmen managed to close the Houthi court building, in the district, which was practicing abuse against the people of the district, represented by issuing documents to confiscate the lands of the people of the district in favor of Houthi elements from Saada, as well as its assistance against prisoners from the region and forcing them to give up their lands in exchange for their release, after the expiry of their sentences.

In the Arhab district, north of Sana'a, the district's tribes accused the Houthi militia of fueling the tribal conflicts taking place in the Beit Bais tribes, and between the Beit Ali Faree', and thwarting tribal mediation to end the conflict, according to tribal sources, confirming that the militia provided weapons and ammunition to one tribe against another in the region.
