An investigation has been opened to find the authors of the Nazi tags that appeared in downtown Nice and spotted by BFM TV.

The references to the 3rd Reich, anti-Semitic inscriptions and other swastikas, were probably tagged overnight from Friday to Saturday.

According to

Nice Matin

, if the authors of these inscriptions were seen thanks to video surveillance cameras, they could not be identified by the police, having acted masked.

The police have opened an investigation for "incitement to racial hatred", specifies the daily.

"Death to the Jews", "Sieg Heil", swastika and other Nazi symbols.

I condemn in the strongest terms the tags made on signs and shops rue Maccarini and in Old Nice.

The police are seized to find the perpetrators.
