The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) confirmed that it will not allow the occupation to change the equations and that it will continue to defend the Palestinian people in all its places of existence, after Israel launched several raids at dawn today on a site belonging to the resistance.

The movement's spokesman, Hazem Qassem, said - in a press statement - that the expansion of the aggression against the Palestinian people by bombing the Gaza Strip, after the crime of executing the martyr Ammar Mufleh in Hawara, will not stop the Palestinian people's revolution, as he put it.

Al-Qassam Brigades (the military wing of Hamas) announced at dawn today that its air defenses had intercepted Israeli aircraft over the Gaza Strip with surface-to-air missiles and anti-aircraft missiles.

The Israeli raids targeted a resistance site west of Khan Yunis and agricultural land east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, causing material damage to the targeted places, but no injuries were reported.

The occupation army said that its fighters targeted a workshop for manufacturing weapons belonging to Hamas, which is a center for the production of most of the movement's rockets, according to a statement.

The Israeli army added that it had also targeted a Hamas tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip, and said that these raids came in response to a missile fired from the Strip on Saturday towards Israel.

Also yesterday evening, a rocket launched from the Strip fell in an uninhabited area in southern Israel, without causing any injuries or damage, according to what the Israeli army announced in a statement, and no party claimed responsibility for the missile launch.

This is the first time in nearly a month that the Israeli army has announced the detection of a missile launch from the Gaza Strip.

In the same context, Palestinian media outlets broadcast scenes that they said were of the occupation forces shooting at two Palestinian vehicles at dawn.

The media said that the shooting took place near the Qalandia checkpoint, north of occupied Jerusalem.

Karni Oz crossing

On the other hand, the spokesman for the occupation army, Avichai Adraee, announced the start of a special operation to remove the Karni Oz crossing in the security barrier area on the borders of the Gaza Strip.

Adraei said - in a tweet on Twitter - that this removal process comes in order to build another land barrier in its place, and to strengthen the line of defense in this area.

He added that the crossing was designated in the past for the passage of goods and workers until it stopped working in 2011, as all goods were transported since then from the Kerem Shalom crossing, and the entry of workers to Israel through the Erez crossing.
