, has died at dawn this Sunday along with his eldest son at the health center .

the Senegalese drew "strength from we don't know where"

, with "very low" blood pressure and "very low, but calm". together with his son, "who has not been detached from him at any time" since his arrival in Spain, thanks to a campaign that expedited the granting of his visa.

"Help me, Queen Letizia, I don't want to die alone"

"Yesterday morning -Saturday- he

began with respiratory distress and signs of suffering",

for which the doctors began to fear the worst -Guardado explained-, which made his cardiologist, Rafael Bravo, who was on rest, go to see him at the hospital because of the special bond they both had.

"At 1:30 in the morning, Ablaye went off," lamented the nurse, who explained that, although his son expected it, in the afternoon he was crying because he did not want his father to suffer and now he is

initiating contacts to attempt to repatriate the body of his relative to Senegal.

The health worker has stated that the

hospital staff are "sorry" due to the "emotional involvement"

they have had with Ablaye, who was hospitalized for more than a month and a half, who had made the cardiology unit "his family" and who he had become "everyone's patient."

After several months of negotiations with different administrations, a few weeks ago the Spanish Consulate in Dakar finally provided Cheikh,

the eldest of Ablaye's three children, with a three-month visa to travel to Spain

and be able to accompany his father in his last days of life

Ablaye, who was 60 years old and lived alone in Spain

, suffered from a rare disease called pulmonary arterial hypertension that caused fatigue, dizziness, fluid accumulation in the abdomen, weight loss and heart problems, among other symptoms, for which the Doctors predicted a few days to live.

Ablaye's last wish was to be able to see the eldest of his three children, Cheikh, who is 28 years old and works as a carpenter in Dakar, where his wife and two other children also live, a wish that was finally fulfilled.

This

reunion has been possible thanks to the health personnel of the Marbella Hospital

, including the nurse Pablo Guardado, who promoted a petition through the Change.org platform to expedite the obtaining of the visa for Ablaye's son, a demand that was obtained more than 63,000 signatures.
