Nuland previously said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin decided not to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine "due to harsh warnings from other states."
According to a US diplomat, Russia has instead switched to a different weapon, launching attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Zakharova, in turn, noted that Nuland again "defeated herself": first, in the United States, the topic of the nuclear threat allegedly coming from Russia was raised in the media, and now "they are trying to blame it on a healthy head."
Allegedly, nuclear armageddon did not come because of “harsh warnings” (and not because no one on this side of the border planned it) ... As for the “unacceptability of strikes on the energy system”, it’s not Nuland to teach the world - more energy networks than the United States destroyed, only the United States and NATO were destroyed together, ”the Russian diplomat wrote in her Telegram channel.
Earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that at least $203 million would be required to restore Ukraine's energy infrastructure facilities.
Polish President Andrzej Duda called on Polish businesses to “bravely” take part in projects to restore Ukraine.
