“Today, Energocom JSC signed a contract for the supply of electricity with MRES for the month of December.

We also agreed to consider extending the contract for the period from January to March 2023 to provide electricity to the entire country,” he wrote on Telegram.

As of December, the volume of electricity supplies will amount to 204,000 MW.

“This amount, together with bilateral contracts in Romania, is enough for the entire consumption of the right bank,” the vice premier said.

In early November, the authorities of the unrecognized Transnistria turned to Russia against the backdrop of a reduction in gas supplies from Moldova.

As Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Addresscu said earlier, Romania provides more than 90% of Moldova's electricity needs.

According to RIA Novosti, Chisinau buys electricity from Romania at a price of 190 to 348 euros per MWh.
