New York City, the United States, struggling with rats, has set out to recruit experts at a huge annual salary.

The New York Times reported that New York City has created a new high-ranking position to coordinate and be responsible for various rat removal operations conducted at the city level.

Currently, New York City is also running a task force for rodent eradication with the Pest and Pest Control Unit under the Department of Health.

We are also hiring biologists who study the ecology of mice.

However, New York City explained that a new senior position was created because there was no one responsible for efficiently running the various rat extermination operations.

The qualifications for this job, which can receive an annual salary of 120,000 to 170,000 dollars and our money of 150,000 to 220 million won, are a college graduate or higher and at least 5 years of experience.

New York City said in a job posting that "you need a 'killer instinct' and conviction to fight the rat swarm that inhabits New York."

Rats have long been a scourge of New York, but citizen complaints are spreading that the problem has gotten worse in recent years.

It means that they are not afraid of people's eyes and act much more boldly than before.

Immediately after the outbreak of Corona 19, when New York City closed restaurants, swarms of rats began to come out and find food, and later, as restaurants began to open outdoors, it became natural for swarms of rats to find food on the street.

It seems that New York's public officials, who were in charge of quarantine work such as rats and various pests, were placed in large-scale vaccination centers after the Corona 19 incident, which also affected the spread of the rat swarm's radius of action.
