An audio from a health worker from the strike committee has opened a new scenario in the crisis of doctors in which the Community of Madrid has been immersed for weeks.
The regional government has decided
to break off negotiations with the Amyts union
because they consider that these statements show that "it is not a medical strike, it is something that goes further", as pointed out this Friday by the Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero.
Because in the recording that has been broadcast this morning through different chats, a representative of the Association of Medical Specialists of Madrid (Afem) affirms that "there is no truce that is worth it" and that the strike must be "indefinite".
"
The idea they had was to give a truce at Christmas and Easter and we have said no, indefinitely
," says the health company about a protest that Primary Care doctors have been holding for several weeks.
This Friday, the Ministry of Health and the strike committee have held a new meeting that has ended without an agreement.
But the publication of the audios has definitively broken the negotiation between the Government and the health workers.

Faced with such serious events, I believe that Amyts should call off the strike and give explanations to the people of Madrid about what is being transmitted there,
" said the counselor, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, in statements to the media at the ceremony for the Day of the Constitution at the headquarters of the Community of Madrid.
A few hours before, during the meeting, the positions were already quite far between the parties.
Because
the doctors understood that the measures proposed by the Ministry of Health did not meet their demands.
"We are not pessimistic. We are prudent and we are open to what is proposed to us, as long as it respects the philosophy of the demands that we bring," said the doctor and member of the strike committee, Isabel Vázquez.
Where there has been a rapprochement between Health and the toilets is in the overload of the physicians' agendas, but the problem remains in the economic sphere, where the salaries are insufficient, according to the union, to maintain the family doctors and pediatricians at their post.
Last Wednesday, the president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, along these lines, proposed offering resident doctors a three-year contract to stay in the region.
The tone within the regional government and the Madrid PP has also risen as a result of the santaria audios coming to light.
The general secretary of the PP in Madrid, Alfonso Serrano, assured that these recordings "
show that those people who are agitating the Madrid Health system care very little about the patients, the people of Madrid and the situation of Primary Care
".
"It is outrageous to hear how there are people who are deliberately acknowledging that they are going on a heat strike", he concluded.
