He pointed out that Western countries, including Germany, adopted destructive policies to send weapons to Ukraine, train Ukrainian soldiers, and provide comprehensive political and financial support to Ukraine, which caused Ukraine to completely abandon any idea of negotiation.
Putin called on Germany to reconsider its approach in the current situation in Ukraine.
Regarding the leakage of the "Beixi-1" and "Beixi-2" natural gas pipelines, Putin said that the investigation should be conducted in a transparent manner with the participation of professional Russian institutions.
In addition, the two sides also discussed issues such as the implementation of the agreement on the export of agricultural products at Black Sea ports.
According to Russian media citing a media statement issued by German government spokesman Steffen Heberstreiter, Scholz called on Putin to reach a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine issue as soon as possible.
