Parents sentenced for abusing their seven children, in Brest

It is the youngest of the siblings who had the courage to speak, when he was 16 years old.

A father and a mother were tried on Thursday before the court of Brest (Finistère), for having inflicted ill-treatment on their seven children, reports the newspaper

These brothers and sisters recount having suffered, for very long years, "hundreds of punishments", such as blows from the slats, freezing showers or multiple spankings.

The family lived in a vacuum, it was the teaching parents who did the school at home.

Until the last of the siblings enters high school, and denounces this tyrannical behavior to social services.

Four years in prison for the father

During the hearing, the 57-year-old father denied in block, speaking of the “natural right of parents over their children”.

Found guilty "of acts of violence and abduction of minors", the couple was sentenced to four years in prison for him, six months in prison suspended for her, the mother being described as "accomplice in spite of herself", reports

Parental authority was withdrawn from the father of the family, who was also banned from coming into contact with the victims for three years.
