In the land of football, some are boycotting the World Cup.

Here, no big screen to broadcast the matches but military chants all day long.

André has been camping in front of the army headquarters since the day after the presidential election.

"

Brazil matchdays are even busier here,

" he said.

Instead of applauding the Cup in front of the TVs, people prefer to come here and stay.

Because it is better to bleed now than later under a communist regime.

 »

This is the first time that this football fan will not attend the competition.

Because he believes in

this mobilization

.

I am tired, yes, but we are staying despite the rain,

insists André.

Yesterday [Thursday] it rained, and we can show you videos, nobody left.

Rain or shine, everyone stays.

"

For the moment, we don't want to hear about the World Cup

 "

Every day, between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., three friends, all widows, set up camp in their beach chairs.

They criticize the date of the World Cup, just after the Brazilian elections.

It hurts our protests here in Brazil

,” said the first.

Football is important,

recognizes the other.

But the most important thing right now is to resolve the situation in our country.

We want clean elections, without fraud.

So for the moment we don't want to hear about the World Cup.
