According to reports, after meeting with the visiting French President Macron, Biden said at a press conference, "If he (Putin) is willing to talk, I am ready to see what he is willing to do."

Biden said that he has no plans to contact Putin in the near future, and he will not meet with Putin before negotiating with NATO allies.

At the news conference, Biden acknowledged that France and the United States occasionally have "some small differences, but never fundamental ones," and emphasized the solidarity the two countries have shown in opposing Russia and pro-Ukraine.

Macron said that France will increase its military support to Ukraine and will never force Ukraine to make compromises.

In addition, the Ukrainian issue is the first item mentioned in the US-French joint statement on regional security issues.

The statement said that the United States and France reiterated their continued support for Ukraine in defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and planned to provide substantial resources to support the Ukrainian people through the winter, including expediting the delivery of air defense systems and equipment needed to repair Ukraine's energy grid.

Both parties will continue to provide strong financial support to Ukraine.
