Before the election, there probably weren't many people who had guessed that the government in Halmstad would be spelled S+M+KD, but that's exactly what happened.
When the election results were clear and negotiations both on the right and the left had stalled, Ansvar för Halmstad was formed, the coalition that will govern the municipality for the next four years.
- With hindsight, this was the best solution for Halmstad, says municipal board chairman Stefan Pålsson (S).
Anna Fallkvist (M) agrees that this type of solution was needed.
- We needed to gather strength in a troubled time, we must put the ideological differences aside, she says.
