“The successes of the allied forces in the Krasnolimansk and Kupyansk directions are forcing the Ukrainian command to throw elite reserves into battle,” TASS quoted him as saying.

Marochko explained that the decision was connected with the threat of breaking through the defense line of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as failed attempts to storm the positions of the Russian Armed Forces.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the crew of a Mi-35 helicopter of the Russian Armed Forces thwarted an attempt by Ukrainian troops to establish a crossing over the Oskol River in the Kupyansky district of the Kharkiv region.

The head of the administration of the Kharkiv region, Vitaly Ganchev, said that children and women were evacuated from Kupyansk and the Kupyansky district due to constant shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
