In Qatar everyone attended, the ball and its fans, enthusiasm and fans, celebrities and their followers, as well as dreams and a lot of luck, not only the luck of the ball that was absent from the Egyptian national team for the account of its Senegalese counterpart.

But luck this time was the share of an Egyptian liver cart for its Egyptian owner Ahmed Al-Basiouni, who has been living in Qatar for about 12 years, during which he witnessed the preparations for the World Cup, and the transformations that will remain an eternal memory in Arab memory.

One of the most prominent of these transformations was what Al-Basiouni decided to call it "God's Blessing".

Umm Kulthum welcomes the Egyptian fans who came to encourage everyone in a tournament that was absent from her team, and turned around everything that is Egyptian, even if the "sandwich" of Alexandrian liver carries a pure Egyptian flavor, served by Al-Basiouni with a welcoming smile befitting the event and his country and his Egyptianness that he is proud of.

The beginning of Bassiouni in Qatar

In 2009, Al-Basiouni came to Qatar seeking a livelihood, so he worked as an administrative manager in a pharmaceutical factory.

The young man in his thirties told Al-Jazeera Net that his desire to create a special project during the World Cup period had been haunting him for some time, but he was not sure that he could come out in this way.

The idea haunted him at times and moved away at other times, until he was encouraged by one of his close friends, who intended to start his project by opening a cafeteria that would serve the World Cup and its visitors.

When he learned of Al-Basiouni's idea, he decided to encourage and help him, and they set to work together immediately.

The Alexandrian liver was Ahmed's idea, after he noticed its absence from the menu of most Egyptian restaurants in Doha, due to its ease of preparation and the "nostalgia" of the old days for thousands of Egyptians and Arabs who came to encourage the Arab teams in the World Cup.

But the surprise was in the love of foreigners from various European, Pakistani, Iranian and East Asian countries, for the spicy and distinctive taste of Egyptian liver.

Al-Basiouni says: "Many people liked the liver, and they asked me about the method, and I did not skimp on it for anyone."

The hobby was the beginning of the idea

Cooking was among Ahmed's hobbies, which spurred his exile.

The presence of his wife with him to spend the World Cup vacation helped him bring the idea into existence, after bringing in all the tools from Egypt, and trying the liver for two days before the start of the World Cup.

"The experiment succeeded beyond our expectations, so that there were more Qatari customers than Egyptians. Many of them returned to repeat the experience," Al-Basiouni says.

The liver was not the only one that bore the Egyptian character on the "God's blessing" cart, as sweets must also be Egyptian, so Ahmed chose to serve rice dishes with milk (milk) with an Egyptian flavor, which everyone accepted, especially from the Gulf people. Those who long for the presence of the Egyptian national team among the Arab teams.

Al-Basiouni will continue his career with his new project after the end of the World Cup. Qatar has achieved the dream of the Arabs, and Al-Kabda has fulfilled Al-Basiouni's dream.
