The daily price of electricity is expected to rise to a record of SEK 4:25 per kilowatt-hour on Wednesday, while the temporary closure of Oskarshamn 3, and the ice cold that moves in over Sweden next week, may push the electricity price up to even more records.

However, Swedish nuclear power is now coming up with a recommendation that can lower the price of your electricity bill - and be better for the environment.

The solution is again called "flattening the curve".

- Here, however, it is about trying to spread out the electricity consumption, so that it does not occur during the hours when the use is usually at its highest, says Pontus de Maré, operations manager at Svenska kraftnät, in this evening's Aktuellt.

Hear him explain how you can think about your electricity consumption when prices are so high.
