The Russian leader said this while participating in the opening ceremony of social facilities in different regions of the country in the format of a video conference call.

“You see, stupid people are canceling our culture, and we not only do not cancel any of the best works, samples of the culture of other countries, but we also advance those ideas and humanistic principles that are embedded in these works,” he said.

According to Putin, “we are smart, and those who cancel our culture are not very smart.”

RT broadcast the ceremony.

Earlier, Russian human rights commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova said that a ban on Russian culture and the Russian language would have the opposite effect.
