Under US law, the US Congress can impose an agreement on the parties if it is necessary to prevent disruption of the country's railroads.

Now the initiative must be considered by US senators.

Earlier, The Washington Post, citing the White House, reported that US President Joe Biden considered the strike of railroad workers unacceptable.
