The survey sent out by the association has been answered by roughly 15,000 doctors in the country.

Of the 548 who answered from the Jönköping County region, 15 percent answered that they have been exposed to violence or threats at work in the past year.

- We recognize that image.

Our employees have to give heavy messages to patients and relatives, and emotions can become strong in those situations.

We think it is terrible that they should suffer threats and violence at work, says the region's HR director Patrick Nzamba.

The region stands out in the country in that the highest percentage here reported being exposed to threats and violence.

Are you doing enough to counter it?

- When employees are exposed to threats and violence, we can never say that we are doing enough.

But we are constantly trying to get better at it.

As recently as this week, a new training course was completed and all the region's employees must take part in it.

Among other things through practical exercises and discussions.

- This is very important.

Often those situations arise suddenly and unexpectedly, and if you are not prepared for it, it is more difficult to prevent it from happening.
