Magdalena Andersson began the press conference by reading out what the Tidö parties said about electricity price protection before the election, and then directed criticism at the government parties.

- This will not pay people's electricity bills this Christmas.

Andersson went on to say that the governing parties and SD must accept that it is about private individuals' finances.

- It's about families with children, pensioners, young adults who have just got their first home.

It's not something you play with, says Magdalena Andersson.

Dadgostar: "A nightmare"

The Left Party also sends a boot to the government.

Party leader Nooshi Dadgostar writes in an email to SVT that "this is a nightmare for all households who do not know if they will be able to pay the bills this winter".

Dadgostar points out the government parties and SD for failing their election promises, and writes further that "only half the country gets support - even though the electricity price is at the same level throughout the country right now, Norrland does not get a kroner in compensation".

"Puts companies at risk"

During the government's press conference, it was announced that the electricity price support to the companies will be delayed, which caused several industry representatives to react.

- This creates major challenges for companies that are in a strained liquidity situation and therefore need money here and now, says Företagarna CEO Günther Mårder.
