Kyodo News and the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported today (30th), citing the Financial Times, that Jack Ma, who founded the Chinese tech giant Alibaba, has been staying in Japan with his family for about six months.

According to reports, Marwin spends time in hot springs and ski resorts in central Tokyo and suburbs.

He doesn't do anything conspicuous in Tokyo, and has been known to socialize at membership clubs in Ginza and Marunouchi.

During his stay in Japan, he also traveled regularly to the United States and Israel, Kyodo News reported.

He also introduced comments from Japanese art officials that he became an avid art collector, showing interest in watercolors.

Jack Ma barely appeared in public after criticizing the Chinese authorities' fintech regulations at a public event in October 2020.

He visited Alibaba headquarters in Hangzhou, China in May, and visited Wageningen University in the Netherlands in July to express his intention to devote his life to agriculture and food issues.
