In the annual Nils Holgersson report, Riksbyggen, Bostadsrätterna, Sveriges Allmännytta, HSB's Riksförbund and the Tenants' Association compile the costs of utilities such as heating, hot water, sewage, cleaning and the one that has been on everyone's lips for the past year: electricity.

When it comes to electricity, the report makes a balance of electricity trade, electricity network and taxes from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. When this is then ranked in a table, it is the eight municipalities in electricity price area 4 where Kraftringen owns the electricity network that end up at the top.

Twice as expensive as Umeå

In Lund, Lomma, Höör, Eslöv, Hörby, Klippan, Åstorp and Torsås, on average, people have paid almost twice as much for electricity as in Umeå.

In the report, an example apartment of 67 square meters is used, where the price for households with Kraftringen as electricity supplier is SEK 944/month compared to SEK 490/month for Umeå residents.

For an apartment of 67 square meters, the electricity prices in 2022 have looked like this - almost double the price in Lund.

Kraftringen's finance director believes that the high fees are due to large investments made by the company.
