He recalled that a corresponding agreement was reached with a colleague from Germany, Christina Lambrecht, in the summer.

“I can gladly confirm that we have already fulfilled our part of the agreement and Ukraine has received 30 of our BMP-1s,” RIA Novosti quotes the minister.

According to the politician, the first tank from Germany will arrive in the country in December, and in 2023 Slovakia will receive 1-2 tanks a month until Germany fully fulfills its obligations.

Earlier, Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz did not dare to transfer tanks to Ukraine, fearing Russia's reaction.

According to The New York Times, 20 out of 30 NATO members have exhausted their ability to supply weapons to Ukraine.
