The man was stopped by Norwegian customs officials at the border checkpoint Storskog in Norwegian Finnmark, when he was about to cross the border into Russia.

In addition to the drone and camera equipment, he also had three passports, two Russian and one Israeli.

According to the Norwegian court, he flew his drone 47 times in Norway between August 27 and October 11, which is not allowed due to the country's sanctions against Russia.

It is not clear what he has, or is suspected of having, filmed.

About ten Russian citizens were arrested on various occasions in Norway a few weeks ago, suspected of crimes related to drone flights.

Another man was sentenced to a short prison term last week.
