Kadyrov declared 2023 the Year of the Chechen language in Chechnya

This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the relevant decree of Kadyrov.

This decision was made in order to preserve, develop and popularize the Chechen language, culture and traditions of the Chechen people, the document says.

It is also reported that an organizing committee will be formed to hold the Year of the Chechen Language.

Within a month, the committee will have to develop an action plan.

In October, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, during his annual address to the State Council of the Republic, declared 2023 the Year of National Cultures and Traditions.
