Recently, if you search Twitter about protests against the corona 19 blockade in various parts of China, there is a sharp increase in cases of pornography and spam appearing out of the blue.

CNN Business, a US economic media outlet, quoted several disinformation researchers as saying that these posts "appear to be a deliberate attempt by the Chinese government or its collaborators."

Since last week, if you search for the names of major protest sites in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, etc. on Twitter in Chinese, images of women in provocative poses in revealing costumes or tweets that say anything without meaning are presented as search results. .

Many of the accounts that posted these tweets do not follow other accounts and often have no followers.

It is suspected to be a so-called 'bot account' for manipulation of public opinion.

Such suspicious tweets surged after a fire in an apartment building in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China on the 24th killed 10 people and injured 9 others.

Protests against the lockdown are taking place in large cities across China as suspicions are raised that the delay in extinguishing fires is related to the Chinese authorities' high-intensity lockdown measures against Corona 19.

However, due to suspicious tweets, photos and videos related to the protests are not being searched properly.

Twitter is officially blocked in China, but it is estimated that 3 to 10 million people are actually using it through bypass access.
