The police were called to the scene via a security alarm triggered by the elderly couple who live in the apartment.
A man was arrested in the apartment and is now suspected of unlawful threats and aggravated robbery.
Stolen property was also seized on site in the apartment, but it is unclear what it consisted of.
How the man got into the apartment, or if he had any particular connection to the couple, is also not known.
- This is very recent and it is not something I have knowledge of, says police spokesperson Johnny Gustavsson.
The apartment is now cordoned off pending a technical examination and further investigation of the incident is pending.
No one is said to have been physically injured in the incident.
