• Valencian Community The PP resumes the battle against the creation "through the back door" of the linguistic rights office

  • Politics Feijóo and Ayuso show harmony in front of Sánchez: "We are on time before the country breaks"

The

Valencian Community

is the jewel in the crown in the regional elections of May 2023. The great piece of big game.

If the PSOE maintains power, it will save an important part of its political wealth, facing the general elections.

And if the PP snatches it away, it will propel Alberto Núñez Feijóo towards the great national battle.

That is why the staff of the main opposition party has gathered today, in Madrid, around its Valencian regional candidate, Carlos Mazón, in an informative breakfast organized by the

Nueva Economía Fórum

.

In the act, presented by Alberto Núñez Feijóo, Mazón has promised to liquidate the "

silent process

" that, in his opinion, his community lives with Ximo Puig at the helm.

The regional candidate has promised to "eliminate the language requirement" of Valencian for civil servants, and has assured that, if he governs, he will approve "a law of educational freedom" so that each student can study in the language they want, without impositions, beyond the "cordial" coexistence of Spanish and Valencian.

"Imposing Valencian is a disservice," Mazón has maintained.

"There is a

silent process

in the Valencian Community, where the Valencian is worth three times more than a doctorate" when accessing a public employment position.

What is a "

silent process

"?

For Mazón, there is an "import" of the agenda of the Catalan independence movement.

"And this is an attack on our identity and history," said the man from Alicante, who considers himself a "Valencianista."

"Puig was the first to welcome pardons and the elimination of sedition," and has set up a language rights office with a "Catalanoid" profile, Mazón said, referring to the fact that it could imitate the secessionists' strategy.

Ximo Puig resists a third legislature with a PP as the first force two seats away from joining Vox

Before barons like Fernando López Miras (Murcia) and Alfonso Fernández Mañueco (Castilla y León) and leaders like José Luis Martínez-Almeida, Cuca Gamarra, Pedro Rollán, Miguel Tellado or Esteban González Pons, Mazón has criticized the "Frankenstein" amalgamation of parties with those who govern the Valencian PSOE, and who push that nationalist agenda.

There, Mazón has announced that he will repeal "the tourist tax and the ideological taxes."

Asked about a hypothetical pact with Vox, if both add up to a majority, Mazón first gave a long change: "Depending on the results, we will analyze."

But later he has stressed that he "aspires" to "govern alone with a sufficient majority."

And he has highlighted his differences with the formation of Santiago Abascal: "Europeanism, liberal character, commitment to women."

"They are red lines and I aspire to govern alone," he added, warning that "everything that is not supporting the only alternative is supporting what is there," he concluded.

For Feijóo, the act itself was a message.

First, because the Valencian Community is the main battle of May 2023. "In the PP it is not exceptional that the regional leaders attend joint calls or that they ask the national president to present them at the events," he said.

"The PP is a cohesive party and at the service of the Spanish people. Others are more concerned with confronting each other and generating problems," he assured, referring to the PSOE barons, who "shun" Pedro Sánchez.

"Entangled in the self-generated daily controversy, the Government has forgotten about ordinary issues, the families' pockets," judged the opposition leader.

Finally, Feijóo has stressed that "the polls are not bad to start the week, which prove that Sánchez has not won a poll that has not been signed by a PSOE militant for a long time."
