The municipality about the garbage dumping - looking at changed opening hours in Vrigstad

Environment manager Henrik Gustavsson says that the municipality has a routine when it comes to garbage dumping.

When a complaint comes in, the environmental office goes out and checks that the garbage is not dangerous to the environment, and when the case is reported to the police by the landowner, staff from Gata- and Park go out and clean it up.

Can you do anything to counter this type of littering?

‍- What we can do is to inform about where you can throw rubbish in the municipality, we do it all the time but maybe not reach everyone, says Henrik Gustavsson.

There is a recycling center nearby, in Vrigstad, which is open eight hours a week, do you think extended opening hours there would help?

- Yes, it might work, I'll suggest it, says Henrik Gustavsson.
